Birthday Season

We have had a couple of very busy weeks and it is not about to slow down! On my husbands side we celebrated two birthdays since New Year's, and two of our friends celebrated birthdays as well. Coming up at the end of January is E's and L's is the beginning of February. A sister-in-law is two days before L and a neice AND a nephew are the day before L's. We were suppossed to go to Vermont before New Years but did not since we ended up in Rhode Island after Christmas. I rescheduled our skiing trip for the end of February. I think we will need a mini vacation then more anyway.

Friends of ours gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last week, but she needs a lot of special prayers as she is having some difficulties. She is at a children's hospital in New York City so she is receiving the best of care. Please say a little prayer for her.

Yesterday was a snow day and I thought I was going to go a bit nuts stuck inside all day, but we kept busy. We baked muffins and cornbread, made chili in the crockpot, E used her new sewing machine, and we played in the snow.

Glad to hear from you. I am just perusing cookbooks to make chili in the slow cooker! I hope yours was yummy.
I will keep your friends daughter in my prayers.

I will be thinking of your friends baby girl as well and remember to pray for her- please let us know then how she is progressing. Childrens is wonderful indeed.

Glad you made themost of cozy snow day.

We have a brutal fall from Oct- Dec like you do in the beginning of the year with birthday holidays- I feel like I need to save all year for it! Good luck and try to enjoy!

Sorry to hear about your friend's baby--our prayers are with her.

We are heading to Quebec skiing over break. We hope to go to Vermont next year since my brother is moving to CT. Sounds like a great place.

Thank you so much for you positive thoughts, the baby girl came out of surgery well but her chances are still 40%. We are praying everyday for them.

The chili came out well, we made a beef and bean red chili but I have to say I make a white bean and chicken chili that I much prefer. Will be making that one soon, we serve it with cheese quesadillas, yum!
